The Masters Tournament, the first men's major championship of the year, is scheduled for April 10-13, 2025, at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.[1]

Tiger Woods, an American professional golfer with 15 major championships and five Masters victories (1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2019), has faced ongoing physical challenges but remains eligible as a past champion.[2][3]

Woods underwent a microdiscectomy back surgery on September 24, 2023, his sixth such procedure after issues dating to 2014.[4][5]

At the 2024 Masters, Woods missed the cut after opening rounds of 73 and 83.[6]

Woods has recently appeared in TGL Golf League matches with his Jupiter Links Golf Club team, including events in January 2025 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.[7]

The 89-player field for the 2025 event will compete over 72 holes on the par-72, 7,555-yard course, with the top 50 and ties plus players within 10 strokes of the leader making the cut.[1]
